From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a cozy Hong Kong cha chaan teng, where the aroma of freshly brewed Hong Kong milk tea mingles with the sizzling sounds of traditional comfort dishes coming off the stove.

The menu at Kong Sihk Tong is wonderfully expansive, yet every dish is crafted with care and reverence for authentic flavors. Highlights include the indulgently creamy Peanut Butter Toast with Condensed Milk, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and crunch that melts in your mouth. The iconic Baked Pork Chop over Fried Rice delivers a warm, savory richness, with tender pork chop smothered in a lightly tangy tomato-based sauce, paired with aromatic fried rice. Another favorite is the Mixed Sauce Rice Rolls, silky and chewy, accompanied by the perfect savory sauces that beckon you to savor every bite.

For noodle lovers, Kong Sihk Tong’s Satay Beef Noodle Soup (沙爹牛肉) and Ham & Egg Stirred Instant Noodle in Cheese Sauce bring forth a comforting depth of flavor, blending the creaminess of cheese with bold Cantonese seasonings. These dishes are perfectly complemented by their selection of soups like the rich and velvety Corn & Mushroom Creamy Soup or the famously nostalgic 羅宋湯.

There’s no place in NYC that resembles an authentic Hong Kong cafe as much as Kong Sihk Tong does. I’ve been here a couple times and the food is authentic and consistently so delicious. The lava toast, baked rice/spaghetti dishes, and iced Hong Kong milk tea are must-try’s. It’s ALWAYS worth the wait, and even outside of mealtimes I’ll stop by to get HK milk tea to-go. The menu is super expansive and there’s endless new things to try. Hands down my most favorite spot in Chinatown. The staff here are so kind and attentive, shout out to Simon who was the absolute sweetest, he made our whole evening!

Great HK style cafe in Chinatown a few minutes walk from the Manhattan bridge. We happened on it by chance and were so glad we did. The prices are very reasonable and the food brings warm flavors & truly hits the spot. The golden lava toast and baked spaghetti with pork chop were fantastic—I recommend! The wings with grapefruit sauce were could, but could be skipped (nothing to write home about). It’s clear that they’re efficient (though attentive), so perfect for a stop in and fairly quick meal! Would definitely come again.

Very delicious food at cheap prices most importantly. I would highly recommend the peanut sauce rice roll and the grapefruit honey wings. FYI they sell out of their most popular items pretty early in the day (by like 5pm)

I came here to have some milk tea and was surprised by the cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The staff was kind and the golden french toast was delicious. My favorite part was the hot milk tea and the seating towards the back of the restaurant. I would definitely come back here to try their food items! Wait time was not too long, but I arrived with a party of 2 around 5 PM before the dinner rush. We were seated within 5 minutes and it was quiet until around 6 PM when the rush began. (Also, I would not recommend the crispy bun with condensed milk it was just toasted bread with condensed milk on top - But the french toast was nice and I would get it again)

I am a little torn on this review. I think the food is average or as expected for canto cuisine in Chinatown, but I LOVED the toast dessert. If you have a sweet tooth highly recommended. Ok price for quality. Small space. Efficient servers.

Today was my first time at Kong Sihk Tong, so I really didn’t know what to expect. Given the busy schedule in the evening, we waited about 10-15 minutes prior to getting seated. Keep in mind that this restaurant only takes cash or Venmo, so be prepared in advance. First off, the quantity of food for the price was really good. We ordered the beef chow fun, lemongrass pork chop with rice, and the baked pork with rice. The meat was so juicy and tender and the noodles and rice were so well seasoned and didn’t feel greasy at all! To top it off, we ordered Hong Kong milk tea, and the best compliment you can get from an Asian when you order drinks is “not too sweet”, the tea was so well balanced and refreshing. The food came out really quick too! We waited about 5-7 minutes, and they all came out so fresh. Overall I had an excellent first experience here and would recommend to anyone wanting to try Hong Kong style street food, at an affordable price point. I will definitely be back!
